In composite construction, where steel and concrete work together, shear studs act as connectors, ensuring that the two materials move as one unit under load. This composite action significantly enhances the overall performance of the structure, improving its strength, stiffness, and durability This composite action significantly enhances the overall performance of the structure, improving its strength, stiffness, and durability

- One of the main functions of a wheel oil seal is to retain the lubricating oil inside the wheel hub, ensuring that the bearings remain properly lubricated at all times. Without adequate lubrication, wheel bearings can wear out quickly, leading to noise, vibration, and ultimately, failure of the wheel assembly. By sealing off the wheel bearings from external contaminants, wheel oil seals help to extend the lifespan of the bearings and maintain the overall performance and safety of the vehicle.
- The valve cover gasket, nestled between the cylinder head and the valve cover, serves as a sealant, preventing oil leaks and maintaining the necessary pressure within the engine. In the case of the LS3, this function is even more critical due to the high RPMs and intense operating conditions these engines are subjected to. The LS3, known for its potent power output and exceptional reliability, relies heavily on the integrity of its valve cover gasket.

Our standard and custom rubber oil seals can match the increasingly demanding applications of any industry.
There is a British Standard laid down for the control of synthetic rubbers. BS 3574 (1989) helps to determine shelf life – for instance, Nitrile (NBR) and Polyacrylic (ACM) are Group ‘B’ rubbers and have a 7-year life, whilst Silicone (VMQ) and Fluoroelastomers (Viton®) are Group ‘C’ rubbers and have a 10-year shelf life. PTFE and Leather do not come into this category but like the others should be kept in the original packing for as long as possible away from direct light, dust, and humidity. Ozone, which can also be produced by battery-driven forklift trucks has a very bad effect on synthetic rubbers. Finally, protect the sealing lip – DO NOT hang the seals on nails, wire etc.
Oil seals are used in many areas around the car.
Figure 6 shows the places where each seal type is used.

Iridium spark plugs have gained popularity in the automotive industry due to their exceptional durability, high melting point, and superior conductivity. These qualities make them an ideal choice for modern motor vehicles, offering enhanced ignition performance, fuel efficiency, and longevity compared to traditional spark plug materials. Iridium spark plugs are designed to deliver consistent and reliable ignition, contributing to improved engine performance and reduced emissions in motor vehicles.

Sump gaskets are usually in several pieces, often with separate curved seals that fit under the front and rear main-bearing housings of the crankshaft.
